[+574, -10] I hope they are successful and set a great example for other smaller agencies to take lead from~~
[+269, -16] Fifty Fifty's name has a double meaning in that it's what American kids call a half rate of success. Their CEO is extremely passion and smart and knew what he was doing when their song started trending on TikTok before going on to set girl group records on the Billboard and UK charts, along with maintaining its position on Spotify's top 10. I don't think they'll be dropping below the top 100 any time soon. Their CEO sold his own car to invest everything he had into them so I'm so happy that they've hit daebak. I hope they don't lose their roots and continue work as hard as they are now to grow into a positive company. Fifty Fifty fighting.
[+105, -18] 'Cupid' is going crazy in the US, they're going to be so successful as long as their agency handles it well
[+61, -6] They just prove that if you have a good song and talent to back it up, you're going to make it as long as your agency doesn't completely suck. I'm glad to see a smaller agency like theirs be so successful, and I wish them more success in the future.
[+49, -8] Their song's just really good
[+30, -1] Well, Psy had a mega-hit in the US with 'Gangnam Style' and he's back to just being Psy now. I don't think it's fair to act like a group that had near zero fame in Korea is going to achieve anything huge because of a one-hit song in another country. Even a group like the Wonder Girls who hit top rank in Korea barely dwindled on the Billboard in the US and didn't make much of a career there. I think we're all exaggerating what's essentially a rookie group with one song on their roster. The media play needs to tone down before you really end up hurting the kids later if their future doesn't pan out like everyone's gassing them up to be.
[+27, -2] I do have some concerns about Fifty Fifty, and it's not that they're from a smaller agency. First, they don't have a huge fandom to support them like other K-Pop groups. Second, 'Cupid' is successfuly largely because of TikTok and YouTube shorts. Their other songs, including their debut song, have never made it as hits, but they're all really well produced. I hope that they're a group that can set a positive example for the rest of the smaller agencies that you can indeed make it if you have the chops to back up good songs.
[+14, -2] I honestly consider their fame as more like a meme.. we'll see what happens when the bubble pops...
[+13, -1] I wouldn't call this group a success until their next song is another hit. There are so many idol groups whose songs climb back up the charts only to disappear again in 1-2 years with barely anyone hearing of their comebacks. Let's not get too cocky about this group.
[+10, -0] They need better outfits. I was shocked at seeing these photos. They're always dressed like chodings ㅠㅜ
[+9, -2] I think they're going to be a flash in the pan. The Billboard singles chart isn't as prestigious as it used to be
